Oral Medicine & Biopsy of Oral Lesions

Oral medicine is branch of dentistry that deals with the oral health care of medically-complex patients which includes diagnosing and managing medical conditions that affect the oral and maxillofacial region. Oral biopsies are procedures performed by a surgeon who removes tissue from inside the mouth. Tissue that is removed are then sent to a laborat ory for testing.
